Daryl & Roxann Gunnarson    DIRECTORS   Daryl and Roxann have a long history of service and caring for children. They have raised three sons and have worked with children, youth and college students for over 30 years. Daryl’s career with Procter & Gamble for the past 30 years included an assignment in Russia. During their stay in Russia, the Gunnarson’s started a pastors conference that lasted 12 years and resulted in over 37 new churches. Now they are using their passion for mentoring and the cause of children to provide leadership for New Oaks Community and the Father’s House.  Daryl is one of the partners owning New Oaks Consulting which has helped fund a lot of the work restoring The Father’s House.

Jeffery & Kristina Jones    ORPHAN CARE ADVOCACY/ MEDIA/COMMUNICATIONS   Jeff and Kristina have hearts for community building and hospitality, advocating by telling the stories of vulnerable kids as well as inspiring the church to get involved in orphan advocacy. Originally from Northwest Ohio but recent transplants from Kansas City, they moved to this region after hearing the call of God to become orphan advocates. They have fostered six kids and adopted three sons over the past fifteen years of marriage. Jeff has had over a decade of experience in photography and marketing and is currently in school to complete his graphic design degree. Kristina is a social worker with experience working with people in all stages of life, but with a specialty in adoption assessment. She is passionate to help more families complete their home studies to take in kids in need of forever families. She also has a love for bringing beauty into spaces with decorating and making handmade items. They have been leading times of worship together their whole marriage and believe the most pure example of worship is lived out in James 1:27, by looking after the most vulnerable ones.

Flora Appefeller    PRAYER MISSIONARY/FUNDRAISING   Flora is a Prayer Missionary with a certification in (trauma and recovery). Her mission is to always seek more of Jesus, saying “yes” to the adventure of pursuing the kingdom and the heartbreak of going to the hard places. She has served in this way at The Father’s House through abiding with her Abba and interceding in prayer, pursuing intentional community, and serving foster and adoptive families in Hamilton by sharing in the messy and beautiful work that they do every day. She is also a lover of books, coffee, mountains and adventures of all kinds.
